About Landmark Cinemas, Inc.
Landmark Cinemas, Inc. manages 39 theatres across western Canada and Ontario with 317 screens. The second-largest motion picture exhibitor in Canada and the 10th largest in North America, they were founded in 1965 and their head office is located in Calgary, Alberta. They purchased Empire theatres in Ontario and Western Canada and reopened them as Landmark Cinemas in December 2017. Landmark Cinemas are located in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Yukon. Now retired, Neil Campbell was CEO and president of Landmark Cinemas of Canada since 2001. The current CEO, Bill Walker, took over upon Campbell's leave.
In 2004, Campbell, along with Brian McIntosh and Damien Cheng, bought Landmark Cinemas of Canada Inc. TriWest Capital Partners acquired an interest in Landmark Cinemas in January 2014.

Special features and extras
They offer varying screen sizes, including five IMAX screens in Calgary, Kitchener,
Kingston, Whitby and Kanata; four "Extra" screens in Ottawa, Waterloo and Calgary
and the new extra large Xtreme screen theatre, featuring the first installation
in Canada of Barco's Auro 11.1 3D immersive sound. Along with this, they provide Premiere Seating or Full-Recliner Seating with the added convenience of free Reserved Seating. The theatres provide a variety
of food selections and have party rooms available at select locations. They are
also available for corporate screenings and events.
