Boy) as an art student who sets out to turn a museum guard (Paul
Rudd) into a completely new person. Of course the change has
repercussions. Adapted from LaBute's 2001 play of the same name.
Together
Set in contemporary Beijing, Together details the efforts of a teenager
struggling to balance his extraordinary abilities as a violinist with his
longing to do normal teenage things. The film premiered at last year's
Toronto International Film Festival, and has already won awards for its
direction by Chen Kaige (Farewell My Concubine).

stars as Elizabeth Wurtzel in this adaptation of her book of the same name
which details her battle with chronic depression. Jessica
Lange plays her mother while Jason
Biggs in a serious turn, plays the boyfriend. Eric Skjoldbjaerg
directs.

From acclaimed director Ken Loach (My Name is Joe) comes this story
of a troubled young boy who enters the world of drug trafficking to help
support his family. It has already won a host of awards and features
English subtitles (though the movie is in English, the Scottish accents
were purportedly so thick the subtitles had to be added). |

Seabiscuit
Set during the Great Depression, Seabiscuit is based on the true
story of jockey Red Pollard (played by Tobey
Maguire) who rode Seabiscuit to victory in races across the United
States. The film also stars Jeff
Bridges and Chris
Cooper, in his first role since winning an Oscar for Adaptation.
AUGUST
Wonderland
Based on the life of notorious porn star John Holmes (played by Val
Kilmer), and more specifically, his involvement in a robbery that
resulted in the deaths of four people. The supporting cast reads like a
who's-who of contemporary Hollywood, with folks like Janeane
Garofalo, Tim
Blake Nelson, and Lisa
Kudrow sharing space on the bill.

Almighty
Jim Carrey
re-teams with Ace Ventura director Tom
Shadyac for this story of a man who blames God for everything that
goes wrong in his life. But when God (Morgan
Freeman) finally tires of his complaints, He transfers His powers to
Bruce for one full day. Also stars Jennifer
Aniston.
