Back to the Future (1985)

Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown (Christopher Lloyd) - When teenager Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) meets scientist Dr. Emmett Brown, he probably didn't expect to encounter a real-life time machine, particularly in the form of a silver DeLorean. In order to successfully travel through time, the car must always reach a minimum of 88 miles per hour. As Marty, Doc and Marty's girlfriend Jennifer (Claudia Wells) prepare to travel to the year 2015, Marty remarks on the residential street ahead of them, saying, "We better back up, we don't have road to get to 88." To which the ever-enigmatic Doc replies, "Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads." Unfortunately, roads are still pretty necessary here in 2016.
