Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford

Harrison Ford was 34 and married when he was cast as Han Solo in the first Star Wars movie. In her recently published memoir, The Princess Diarist, she revealed bits of the journal she wrote at age 19 while filming the movie. "Why have I become casually involved with someone who, if I am being totally honest with myself, I don't care for and who doesn't care for me? And is married?" she wrote. "I'm scared. Scared that I'll let Harrison hurt me." Eventually, Ford went back to his then-wife Mary Marquardt and the affair ended. After getting over the hurt, Carrie wrote: "My affair with Harrison was a very long one-night stand. I was relieved when it ended. I didn't approve of myself. So, I loved him and he allowed it."
