Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill

Mark Hamill, who played Luke, the brother of Carrie's character Leia in the Star Wars series, had a fond, brotherly relationship with her off the set, as well. Although she developed a crush on co-star Harrison Ford, who played her love interest in the movies, she said later she wished she'd instead had a crush on Mark. All three leads were close and spent a lot of time together, but in her new memoir, The Princess Diarist, Carrie revealed that at age 19 she wrote in her journal that she wished she'd fallen for Mark instead, writing: "I'm sorry it's not Mark [Hamill, instead of Ford] — it could have been. It should have been. It might've meant something. Maybe not much, but certainly more."
