Falkor the Luckdragon (The Neverending Story)

If you could take an adorable old man and cross him with a dog and dragon, you'd get Falkor. The Luckdragon from the 1984 movie The Neverending Story gets points for cuteness based on nostalgia alone. A lot of people look back on this film as being a cherished part of their childhood, and that includes the characters. Falkor is the wise protector of young Atreyu, and continuously provides the young protagonist with encouragement throughout his journey in Fantasia.
