Longtime pals Tocho (Hovik Keuchkerian) and Jean Pierre (Jean Reno) reunite for a desert road trip from Spain to Mali to visit their friend Joseba (Quique San Francisco), after they find out he's ill and may be dying. They cross the Sahara with Joseba's estranged daughter, Ely (Susana Abaitua), in her Renault 4L.
