In an announcement that was almost expected, Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will not be making appearances at the final four Twilight conventions in San Antonio, Detroit, New Jersey and Los Angeles. What may have shocked people though, was Taylor Lautner also bowing out. With both Jacob and Edward, as well as their damsel in distress Bella, all taking a pass on the conventions, one main question comes to mind: Are they really worth attending? Creation Entertainment thinks so, telling Zap2it.com, “The passion and dedication of Twilight fandom has been amazing and we’re out to throw one last giant convention, a final gathering to see old friends that have made up the Twilight family. Although Rob, Kristen and Taylor will not be with us this time out we will have a super line-up of other Twilight stars and the weekend will be filled with special events, movie prop and costume displays, contests, panels, auctions, parties, exclusive merchandise, music and much more, including some surprises!”
The phrase “other Twilight stars” may speak for itself, but hopefully it includes Cullens like Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene or even Vulturi member Dakota Fanning. Regardless of the turnout, the Twilight cast has been instructed to avoid the topic of Robert and Kristen’s troubles, as well as their opinions on how it will affect the success of Twilight‘s final installment, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, which hits theaters on November 16. ~Morgan Bates
