Gosling attends premiere with family

Ryan Gosling, who plays the title role in Lars and the Real Girl, told reporters at a TIFF press conference: "I'm really proud of it and I'm more anxious to see what people think of it than any movie I've ever done—it's so special and there's nothing really that I can compare it to.” In it, he plays a man who falls in love with an anatomically accurate sex doll. He said he got to keep one of the two dolls used in the movie, but admitted his girlfriend, Rachel McAdams, isn’t too fond of the doll. McAdams couldn't attend Gosling’s premiere, so his mother, who lives an hour from Toronto, and sister Mandi walked the red carpet with him.
