Absolutely a movie you will want to see again and again. Fun, with many new characters. Bring your friends and enjoy the party.
The movie was very uplifting, music was great, singers/dancers were fantastic. I enjoyed because it was not a swearing, shooting, crashing, killing movie. I was raised on musicals and it rose a spirit in me of days gone by. Very wholesome. In spots it brought a tear to my eye. I also did not want it to end. Story line was amazing. There were some chuckling moments, some that slipped by others. I loved the older actors and it was nice to see them in a movie that was fun and not so serious. My friend talked me into going and I am glad I did.
Excellent movie, completely different from the first one. Also had some different songs. Acting, script, music were all wonderful. I didn't expect to like it as well as the first, so was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the movie the whole way through, and didn't want it to end.
Excellent, incredible scenery, fantastic acting by the younger main character. This movie was better than Mama Mia 1 with a better story line. Overall, superb movie. I will see this movie again and buy the DVD as well.
Just bad
A feel good movie!
Fun movie heartwarming. Good music. I like the new actors very much. Loved the young Donna.
Very good haven’t seen the first one but this one was very good and it was the first time I ever heard an Abba song
Great, funny with excellent singing. I loved how the older actors played into the success of this movie. Made me happy when I left the theater.
I preferred the first Mamma Mia, but did enjoy this version. I would see it again...when it comes on tv. I do not know why they brought in Cher. She did not add anything to the movie and even her singing felt flat.
Better then original !!
Loved the movie. My husband liked it more that the first. Good family show. Loved seeing Che. Music was great.
I LOVED this movie! Delightful, fun, beautiful setting, excellent casting, even a few tears! Great entertainment!
Great music and dancing.
I was very disappointed. Of course the music is good but the script wasn’t worth the ink. My friend fell asleep in the middle of it and by then I was wishing I could too. Save some money and just buy the soundtrack.
Loved it. The music and danving were great. Happy movie. Loved how the two stories were played out.
Loved it!!! Good story,music,dancing!
Great toe tapping feel good movie! Very enjoyable!
Very well done, enjoyable movie, but not as good as the original. Sequels seldom compare favourably with the originals. It was great to see some of the old actors/ characters back. The photography was superb!
sexist beyond belief
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Happy and sad but a lifter upper .....good dancing and singing....beautiful scenery both the land and the actors...Colin and Andy.....wow
I really liked the movie, but the first one was definitely better.
I liked this one better than the first one. Better energy, better story line, better songs. Definitely👍!
Fun and enjoyable. Go see it!
LOVED this movie so much! The cast, the acting, the singing and dancing was all FANTASTIC!
Loved it! Good writing, funny, sometimes sad, a few unexpected twists. Nice pacing with forward and back time, wonderful songs, acting and singing . Will go back to see it again.
The story line was terrible. They don't mention how or why a main character died. The songs were horrible. Waste of talent. I was very disappointed. in addition, movie was not filmed in Greece. No Greek feel whatsoever.
Enjoyed every minute of it. Great fun. Want to see it again. I hope for #3
The best performance given by Lily James. Rated this high for my love of the cast of actors.
Great fun! Equal to the first one. Gotta see it
So apparently it's okay to treat men like objects
Enjoyable movie due to its musical nature, however, not as good as the first Mamma Mia.
All I can say is fantastic, fantastic! I think that it maybe better than the first one. Great musical, acting, scenery and costumes. I can't believe that anyone would rate it below a 5 star. Go see it you will not be disappointed.
Loved the movie and the story was great! Loved all the acting, the young girl who played Meryl Streeps character was excellent! A lot was explained in this sequel.
So bad
Music was great and so many famous actors and actresses. Loved seeing Cher again. Funny that she's 70 and they had to use makeup to make her look old!!
I did like this one but the first one was much better.
It was wonderful especially the dancing and music.
??FANTASTIC MOVIE?? Saw this most wonderful movie with my daughter! We absolutely loved this movie:) I honestly don't know. I didn't think they could top the first mamma mia but I was mistaken. It truly was an amazing with lots of music:)
Loved the actors, the music and the story but can't figure out why Cher was added to the cast. She added nothing and it just seemed silly.
I saw the movie tonight I had liked it. I had a good laugh
Overated, despite large accomplished cast of stars. Colorful and scenic somewhat, but a bit disappointing. Two ABBA classics best part of music, still wish actors the best in future endeavors.
This Mamma Mia is a sequel/prequel to the first abba song go round. If you like the tunes of abba and the cast in this tale and the last then this movie could be for you.
Mamma Mia I paid for this
Brutal
Loved it. Nice to watch something thats not full of violence. A happy feel good movie where you walk out singing. I want to see it again
Not as good as the first movie but we enjoyed the movie
I Enjoyed the whole movie I also saw and liked the original best chick movie I ever saw, not bad for a 73 year old man.
Sequels to most movies are not as good as the original, and this sequel proves this again. The good news is that the singing in this movie is much better than the first, with only one truly sour note from Pierce Brosnan. Fortunately his songs are short and mostly covered by the soundtrack band or other performers. The first third of the movie is clunky and the singing numbers are painfully contrived. Things get better which isn't saying much until Cher appears, when the movie takes another downhill dive. She is painful to watch, teetering on a staircase and needing support to move down. Her face is a mask, whether the result of computer graphics or tons of makeup, and only her mouth moves. When she sings it's acceptable but badly lip-synced. People who love Abba or the handful of fans that liked the first Momma Mia! should see this film, the rest should wait until it is released On-Demand or wait for a cheap ticket.
