Disliked everything about the movie.. And the name 🤣 A woman can NOT be king, queen maybe. But NEVER a king!
informative, breathtaking, backed up by facts love it
Woke nonsense.
Reverse history.
if there is anything else to watch skip this one. I managed to make it to the end if that helps.
Irresponsible revisionism. Miss it.
Nonsensical crap.
This movie and its propaganda are not good. It's woke as hell and untruthful. They don't mention that black culture invented slavery and this was the tribe at the root of it all. Fact. Make a movie about that.
Not a predictable story line. Love it from the beginning to end,
How long do they want to keep this absolute garbage in the theaters, so they could brag about making this or that amount of money and pretend it was successful?
The movie in itself is not bad. In fact is pretty entertaining. If you don't take in consideration the ridiculously exaggerated depiction of these women whose sole purpose was to sell their own people to slavery. Also, Woman "King"? No.
I loved seeing STRONG AA Women overcoming life challenges.
Lies, historical inaccuracies, xenophobic, exaggeration, terrible acting, wokeness, racist, propaganda, dumb.
Is this in the same universe as Wokanda Forever? Because it definitelly looks like that. Wokanda is probably still more historically accurate though.
To get more viewing, I think itbsh be sub titled. Many of my non African friends like it but could not flow well because they could not understand what they were saying
Liked actors, emotions, action ?? the movie 💯💯👏🏾
Terrible crap full of lies.
This movie really touched home with me. It showed how our ancestors were treated. Taken away from their home and then sold and taken to a far away country and made to be slaves. This actually happened in history.
Empowering!!
Great movie, loved the history of the female warriors.
Woman King? I thought a female monarch was a "Queen". What's next? A movie about a male queen? Oh wait...we already had that with Rocketman.
I didn't like the false narrative and afrocentric propaganda in the movie.
Even Lincoln The Vampire Slayer was more historically accurate.
The acting and the story line
Very entertaining! I’ve seen it twice now and saw things I missed or didn’t get the first time. The acting was top notch all the way around.
I will admit this movie is not as authentic as it could have been, given the king's right hand and the use of the English language, neither of which would have had a place in 1823 Africa. At the same time, I'm glad it was in English because I didn't want to spend the whole time reading subtitles. I think it covered some critical points in African history, some points that truly needed to be told. But I'm not a historian so I don't know how accurate all of it is, especially an elite force of all women. Nevertheless, it was impressive to see. Regardless of all of the negatives people have said about it, it was very entertaining, and isn't that a part of why we love movies? Viola Davis was great in this role, as if she could be bad in anything. The young female warrior is an amazing actress. Her expressions were completely appropriate for every scene. And the other warriors, I guess who would be second and third in command, were fantastic in their respective roles. This movie is definitely worth your money and your time. It is the first movie that I have seen on the big screen since Covid took over the world. And I'm extremely happy that I went.
Empowering Women of Color is REQUIRED!!! Anyone who doesn't understand the reasoning behind making such a film... should remain silent.
I saw this movie three times in the in one week! I love this movie! The actors/actresses speak with their eyes. So much emotion through the eyes. Viola Davis is awesome along with the other actresses and actors! I love the characters, story line, culture. Their fit bodies and beautiful dark skin and athleticism was beyond beautiful, incredible, majestic, regal and inspirational!
Entertaining and historical!
I like the empowerment of black woman
perfect example of how one group of people can turn a historical tale into a fairy tale. taking how slavery started by enslaving other black tribes an making it look like they were the victim. go woke go broke, i hope you loose million's on this garbage.
Excellent movie. Pretty much anyone could enjoy this. Definitely recommend this one.
I am going to see it again.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Woman King. It was a fresh story that was accentuated with compelling performances.
Loved the entire movie.... not one minute of boredom. Great cast, incredible acting!!!! Will see it again !!!!
The agenda was so apparent ....they totally lost the storyline.
Offensive title. Honestly, she's a woman, a queen, not a king. When you consider these are fierce women warriors, I doubt they'd be anything but insulted by the implication that queen is somehow lesser than a king. I am! This isn't silly. No movie has ever called a man "The Man Queen". Whyever didn't they just use her actual title? Shame on the women actresses for not banding together against this. Otherwise, it terribly impressed. Davis is excellent. But it just feels like a movie written for men, then just substituted women to act the same way.
My friends n I really enjoyed this movie. We are all multicultural and went with an open mind like we do all movies lol I didn't find it racist but found the movie fun filled with love, pain. A mother's pain, a woman's pain. A community protecting one another. There were some jokes, some girl power. Nice to see so many black actresses. Most people in the theater were white n no one left feeling bad. It was an action filled movie. It gave us empowerment.
It was really great movie! I enjoyed watching it. I will definitely be seeing the movie again.
Both me and my husband enjoyed watching this movie. Most of the people attending the viewing were black but white people (which we are) would enjoy it, very well done and exciting.
I found this movie empowering, and I'm a man.
This was a great movie, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Ms. Viola Davis was powerful in this movie she showed off her strengths and Leadership. I Loved It.
The reality of the Situation was that it was 300 and King Leonidas in Reverse. 6 French Soldiers took out about 400 of them, It was more like Woman Bullet Catchers.
Well acted and engaging
Best movie I've seen in years. All cast was excellent.
The strength of a woman. The courage to stand up for what is good and right. This movie is a prime example of unity, strength, and courage. I can see this again & again. Viola Davis great work!
We all know Viola Davis has acting chops. Here she proved she can carry a movie. Well done, sista Viola!
Amazing movie, I can go watch this again and still enjoy it like its my first time. Only thing I don't recommend is seeing it in 4DX that's where I went wrong because it was just doing to much after awhile.
Voila Davis did not disappoint. Great to see a woman be the leader of a movie. The co-stars were right on point. The scenario was so realistic and the story line was easy to follow. I've seen it 3 times. Totally rate this movie 5+ stars.
Orwellian dystopian nightmare.
